SUMMARY:Lapeer CD Presents: A Walk at the WildWoods: Regenerative Agriculture
DESCRIPTION:The WildWoods Farm is a new and growing regenerative focused livestock farm dedicated to soil health\, education\, and the transparency of the process. Veteran Chris Kamyszek the owner and operator will talk about why and how he started this process. Join us in walking through the pasture system of this regenerative farm and learning about the core principles of regenerative agriculture. Topics will include but are not limited to\, AMP grazing\, pasture & animal health\, plant biodiversity\, living soil\, water infiltration\, erosion\, and increasing pasture fertility without artificial inputs. Additional speakers will include MSU Extension educators\, Pheasants Forever\, Conservation District\, NRCS\, and MDARD staff. We will provide lunch to attendees and raffle off some door prizes including merch\, Conservation District tree sale coupons\, soil sample bags\, spill kits and soil health monitoring equipment.This event is funded by the Michigan Department of Agriculture (MDARD) and the Soil and Water Conservation Society (SWCS).Registration link found HERE!
